That Nespresso Cray !!! Testing Out the New Creatista Plus0
This is brought to you in partnership with Nespresso.
I’m a coffee addict. I drink it all day, every day. One of the first appliances I ever bought was actually a Nespresso machine. I’ve had it for years and I use it more than I use my stove or microwave. It was finally time for an upgrade, so I’m really glad I was invited to one of Nespresso’s Barista Masterclasses where we tested out the new Creatista Plus. We spent a fun afternoon at Grand Hyatt’s Ambassador Suite learning about coffee and how to make latte art.
The gorgeous stainless steel Creatista Plus was created so that coffee lovers can easily experience delicious café-style gourmet coffee at the convenience of their own homes. The Creatista Plus was designed with a fully-automatic steam wand, intended for creating textured milk at 11 milk temperature settings. The Creatista Plus creates anything from a frothy cappuccino to a velvety smooth flat white. It even creates meticulously foamed milk, perfect for creating latte art. Let me tell you, it’s not as easy as it looks, but good thing I’ll be able to practice at home now.
Nespresso also introduced three new limited edition BARISTA Grands Crus, inspired by the craftsmanship of the world’s finest Baristas, combining sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. The darkest of the three is the Barista Corto, a complex dark roasted blend consisting of beans sourced mainly from India and Guatemala. It has a powerful, intense taste with a thick syrupy texture, and marble dark crema. The Barista Scuro is medium-to-dark roasted with beans sourced from Costa Rica and Columbia. The Scuro has rich and complex bitter chocolate and roasted aromas when combined with a touch of milk foam. The lightest of the three is the Barista Chiaro, delicate yet complex consisting of unwashed Arabica beans from Brazil and washed Arabica from Kenya. It has a sweet and creamy taste with notes of biscuit and caramel. Check out the photos above
