The title of this post is somewhat ironic since I wouldn’t consider the city of Edmonton “Cray” (crazy and not Kray) but Culina is one of my all time favorite restaurants for brunch! I lived in Deadmonton (Eugene would fiercely disagree with this title) for about two years for university. Thankfully, there was an awesome little restaurant within walking distance from my apartment. One of my BFFs Sammi and I would have romantic dates here regularly for Weekend brunch. A cozy environment translates into some delicious comfort food that gives off a legit “I LOVE THE FOOD I COOK” vibe.
I haven’t been to Culina in awhile and they revamp their menus quite frequently which is nice because I’ve been able to try something new every time I visit. I checked out their latest menu and I am dying to try their Carrot Cake French Toast with creamed cheese, fresh orange butter, and maple syrup along with the Bacon Caesar Vodka with lime, horseradish and crispy bacon! Culina Mill Creek also has a sister restaurant, Culina Muttart, which offers a slightly different menu with healthier alternatives including Gluten-Free Waffles. Definitely something I’ll consider next time I’m in town. While their brunch is something I’ve always had a soft spot for, their set dinners are also worth checking out should you ever find yourself in Edmonton.
